Intro

Hey there Paragoners, it's xDeadxpoolx6 here with my first guide...ever. I guess haha. I play on the PS4  (PSN is the same as my username here) and I'm proud to say I'm really starting to like Paragon. Being that my only source of MOBA knowledge is from SMITE (Xbox One, GT is also the same as PSN), I wouldn't call myself an expert, but I do think I have a really good starting point. So without further ado, onto the guide!

Steel (Pros & Cons)

Who is Steel? Steel is a nice off tank bruiser with the ability to pack a punch as well as take one. While he may seem very much like just another lane shield, in my personal opinion, Steel can be quite the Jungler. With his massive ability to take abuse, you need not worrying of dying as soon as you think. Lets take a look at his Pros and Cons.

Pros:

  • Bulky Stats
  • Decent Damage
  • Best Initiatiator (Square/Q & Triangle/R)

Cons

  • Very Mana Dependent
  • Lengthy Cooldowns
  • Only Escape is his Initiation Ability

Steel can make an impact no matter what phase the game is in, literally. He has several capabilities spanning from being able to make ADC's less  effective, to protecting teammates, initiating and setting up kills, or even dealing effective damage in a short time span on his own. While his laning abilities are underwhelming, (his Charge can't clear the wave), he has good kill and/or jungle potential. As I mentioned, he has one of the best set ups in the game with Shield Slam, as well as Charge and his ultimate also does decent damage as well as stunning all those hit. Plus the animation is EXTREMELY SATISFYING, when jumping from out of nowhere or off the tops of areas.

While all this seems great, his drawbacks are, no matter how much you think you are or you seem, you are NOT invincible. With this build, you can still very much be killed by the right enemy. This build is for Jungling/Ganking/Pushing. With a focus on being able to harass your enemies and enable your allies. Be aware of your Mana! It is your greatest enemy of all.

Abilities Overview

Unstoppable Force (Passive):  Steel's resistance to Crowd Control effects increases with each nearby friendly Hero.

  • A nice Passive that remains ever more important during team fights. The more allies around, the harder it is for you to go down!

Punch (Auto Attack):  Medium damage melee attack.

  • Steel's auto attack and main point of damage aside from his  with this build. It also has a nice effect in which that it damages the two closest minions in your main targets vicinity. A great effect for taking camps and as such, you will use it more often than you think!

Shield Block (R1/RMB Ability):  Steel blocks a percentage of incoming damage with his shield in front of him.

  • Steel's personal anti-ranged shield! This ability equips the hulk-buster with a shield that blocks some damage from frontal projectiles. While good, it doesn't offer protection from anything aside from frontal attacks (basic and ability based).

@xDeadxpoolx6, cool. You are the first using colors to the full extent to make the guide more readable. This is highly appreciated! Keep it going!

I really like to jungle with Steel but I feel like your build takes too long to get going. Consider more 2costs upgrades early!

@Sam (not verified), Id have to agree with Sam. Try building four 9 Point cards and two12 point cards. You will notice a big damage difference early game. Because Junglers need that extra damage asap since your job is to rotate and gank.

Besjdes that, great work on the guide bro keep it up!
