Big changes announced

Today we have a big day. Some significant changes are announced impacting gameplay and decision-making.

This is a short extract of main changes from the official Paragon blog post here.

Travel mode changes

The first announced change touches Travel mode.

Well, not really touches... Travel mode is going to be removed completely. To replace it there will be a new teleport mechanism that will allow Heroes to move to owned structures on cooldown. This new function will replace "recall".

A side benefit of this change will be players having the ability to respond to threats much more quickly, which will help situations where fast rotations are desirable such as a gank on your carry or a sneaky split-push when you win a 4v5 deep in enemy territory. However, this committed choice means you will no longer be able to rotate for free.

Shop in the Field

Connected to the change above - Players with be able to access Cards shop through

P.O.D. (Power On Demand) modules

CP Sharing

As it was announced previously, here are the changes coming our way as far as Cards XP sharing is concerned. Now 100% sharing is gone and it will look like this

Lane minions will now give 100% of their CP to the last-hitter, and an additional 100% CP will be divided among all non-last hitters nearby. So, if it is just the two of you, 100/100 split! However, each additional person starts to make the deal worse.

In the Jungle it's even another story. Now only the last-hitter will receive CXP

The Jungle is intended to be a solo-person operation.

Minions

To align with Travel mode removal lane minions will become slower and there will be only 4 of them in a wave.

This aids in lane control, last hitting, and reduces the chance of getting stuck inside a minion wave.

In addition to that Super minions were nerfed/changed

super minion waves will now be a regular wave plus one super minion

Inhibitors and Orb Prime

First of all now

inhibitors will no longer respawn after a set time

And along with that a team is given an option to restore them. This is done via new options that can be done with the Orb Prime. Now they are

  1. Take the Orb to the enemy team’s capture point and give the Orb Prime Buff to their entire team as usual.
  2. New: Hold onto the Orb as the carrier and use its power to help win a team fight, but risk the chance of dropping its power on death.
  3. Coming Soon: Take the Orb to the friendly team’s capture point and respawn all downed inhibitors immediately!

Harvesters

Harvesters will now give away 100% of Cards to enemy hitting it. And it will be silent unless it is empty. So you can come to an enemy harvester unnoticed (remember that it provides no vision). Steal all the Amber by hitting it (yet unnoticed) and get away.
