Update .27

First things first. .27 Update is coming our way soon (the next week). See more details here.

Balancing in Paragon

About balancing work in general in Paragon and regarding specific Heroes:

As you can imagine, we still have a long way to go with Hero and gameplay balance. We'll continue to make changes, add new Heroes, and evaluate our gameplay data and feedback, as we've done thus far to influence the direction we take the game. Can't promise we'll solve the Hero balance issues you'd specifically like to see addressed, some Heroes won't perform in the manner that you seek, but we'll continue to do our best to improve them.

Average Game Duration

Our target goal is definitely 30 minutes, but it's not a be-all, end-all type of goal. If you're having meaningful matches at an hour or more then that's great, if it seems like matches aren't resolving themselves then we have a problem. I have to get some new data on what our average and median game times are, but last information I received, we were sitting at 32 minutes for game average and 36 minutes for median.

PvP restrictions

Plans for restricting players for PvP games:

The current matchmaking environment is an unranked play experience. We're more likely to exclude players that don't meet "requirements" for a playlist in a Ranked environment, but currently that is not the play experience.

We building toward Ranked, but currently we need feedback from all levels of play experience, so excluding players from our unranked, Early Access PvP playlist would not serve us well.

We are thinking along those lines for Ranked.
