As I was looking through some of the forums I noticed one asking about some people to play with on the PS4. Then I thought why don't we have one for the PC as well, then with some more further thinking I remember 'isn't Paragon cross platform?', so we can all play with and against each other. Continuing with the train of thinking, I was wondering what could be the best way for people to find each other.

So my question is for the devs mostly I guess, could we open another tab on the nav bar for Community or something. Where we can all go to to find people to play with. Weather its for people who are looking for more on their elo, or new players looking for experience players to teach them or vice versa.

Or it could be another tab in the Forums, just anything really that will make it easier for people to find each other.

@OrangeDragon, there was an idea to make it in a form of notices with limited lifetime. Like forum posts but visible only a couple of days since the last update.

By adding such a post anyone can say - I'm playing these Heroes and looking for a group on this server (EU or US), playing in PS4 and have Elo of 1234. Here is my IGN.

So others can filter and fing potential teammates.

Are you looking for something like this?

@George, yea pretty much that exactly. Limited lifetime is a good idea as well. And pretty much was just wondering if something of the sort was in the works and if it wasn't then throwing out the idea. :p

@OrangeDragon, right now it is not in works as not demanded. At least till today. And this is important since the idea will only work if demanded, if used by the community at large.

@George, Very true, I guess you can ask around or see if anyone else is interested in something like that on this site. Or if enough people post giving the green light.

@George, I am all for this George!!! This would a sick addition to this website! If you could some how link the Agora stats to the filtering process, that would be a great help too. Since the MMR is such trash rn, finding players at your skill tier would be a life saver.

@SmokeyJay, as I stated adding elo was one of the to-do items. Though I'm still a bit hesitant on this. I do not really see much correlation b/w elo and actual in-game skill. So having said that I'm not sure will it be good or bad to add elo.

@George, what I suggest you use instead is the win/loss ratios based on games as well as kda...may be tricky equations but I feel the Elo isn't the best option

I think what can be done as a first step is - just a link to agora profile. And then modify that by adding more data and filtering if the whole idea in general works.

@SmokeyJay, I do like the KDA, as there have been quite a few games where we lost despite my carry (not bragging that I am good, just saying the games I play well we don't always win). And since there is currently no way to calculate how much damage you do or towers you destroyed per game, win and loss is the only way to make your elo go up or down.

You could be the worst player ever, but you can still get carried to high elo when your team is good enough to carry you. So currently yes the elo system isn't that great. But this game is forever changing, so for now I think just something simple is all we need. So maybe hold off on the search for certain elo and what not, and just get something where people can actively post what they are looking for. Where the requirements to fill one out, is to put your skill level in yourself as to how well you feel you know about the game, and of course how long and how many hours you played.

@OrangeDragon, KDA depends on a hero you play. So it is also not the best value to use as an indication of skill.

@George, If you could implement a way to filter through the agora accounts linked on this site. Then, we could see all the players registered on this site and their skill levels.

@George, True

@SmokeyJay, I can see that, basically like a lot of forums have (number of people logged on, registered, ect.)

Honestly this website needs to get more noticed though. Is this site competing for population?@George

George's picture

@SmokeyJay, sure. Any suggestions?

@George, Hmmmm, not quite sure, I'm guessing when the beta drops for public the game will gain a lot more players. Guess we gotta wait till then.

@SmokeyJay, yep. So far we are having about k1,5 unique users a day. With k2,3 max ever and I expect the numbers to get lower since there are few new players in closed beta. We can expect spikes with new heroes releases (that's why it's important to come with a one-stop guide quickly) and after an open beta started.
